Maricopa temporarily adopts the nickname “the Windy City” this week. Ok, maybe not officially, but as mostly clear skies accompany a constant barrage of heavy winds, temperatures will likely stay out of the triple digits in Maricopa, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday should be sunny and a bit breezy with winds gusting up to 30 mph as the temperature reaches a high of around 94 during the day and a low of near 64 at night

Tuesday is likely to be a little cloudy and slightly cooler as winds continue to gust up to 30 mph keeping the high around 87 and the low near 59.

Wednesday is forecast to clear up a bit while winds gust up to 20 mph and the temperatures stay down around 89 during the day and near 62 at night

Thursday should see winds persist, gusting up to 25 mph while temperatures rise to around 93 during the day and fall to near 64 at night.

Friday will likely be mostly clear and somewhat windy, gusting up to 40 mph as the high stays down around 86 during the day and near 54 at night.
