Police said they arrested a woman after her car struck a police vehicle in Maricopa Meadows on Tuesday night.

Brittany M. Mays, 28, no address given, was charged with aggravated DUI and impairment to the slightest degree in the incident, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

Mays had driven from Tempe to meet with Maricopa officers on Dirk Street and to pick up her child, whose age was not released, said a probable cause statement, which did not explain the circumstances of the meeting.

Mays then almost ran over an officer’s foot and struck a police vehicle, the probable cause statement said.

When officers investigating the accident asked Mays to get out of vehicle, she appeared to be under the influence of a drug and failed her field sobriety tests, police said.

Mays was arrested and booked into Pinal County Jail, according to police.
