A Maricopa woman allegedly fired a gunshot in a home during an argument with her husband.

Rosalyn Woods, 36, was charged with threatening or intimidating, endangerment, unlawful discharge of firearms and prohibited possession of a deadly weapon, according to police.

Police said an argument between the couple started late on Nov. 30 and spilled over into the early morning hours of Dec. 1 at their home on West Pioneer Road in Cobblestone. About 3 a.m. the husband went downstairs to lie down. While his face was covered with a blanket, he heard a gunshot in the home, and began video recording on his phone, police said.

At the beginning of the video, the couple can be heard arguing as he asked Woods, “Are you going to shoot me?” according to a probable cause statement. She allegedly responded, “Yes, cause I don’t give a f—. I ain’t playing with s— cause the next one won’t be in the air.”

He asked why she was holding a gun if she wanted to talk; she replied that she was serious.

In the video recording, Woods can be seen picking up what appears to be a silver handgun, police said. Subsequently, a sound is heard that is consistent with the noise of chambering a handgun.

According to police, Woods is then allegedly heard saying, “You gonna go to sleep? I’m gonna go shoot up your s—.” The husband said, “You’ve got a gun in your hand” and she allegedly responded, “And I will use this b—-, because I’m tired.”

The video showed Woods’ body angled toward the man with her right arm and hand staying at her side out of sight, the probable cause statement said.

Police said they discovered Woods was previously convicted of three felonies – forgery, counterfeiting and larceny – in Illinois between December 2005 and August 2012.

Woods was arrested about 9:15 a.m. Dec. 5 at the home after a search allegedly found 24 rounds of 9mm ammunition inside her purse, police said. In her bedroom, detectives allegedly located a SCCY CPX-2 9mm pistol box, with an unrelated receipt inside the box that was addressed to her, police said.

She was booked into Pinal County Jail, where she remained as of Monday morning, according to online inmate records. She has a hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 15.
