3 juveniles face 1st-degree murder charges in Stanfield homicide

Three juveniles face first-degree murder charges in connection with the recent shooting death of a Stanfield teen.

Benjamin Villa, 15, Emilio Acosta, 14, and Genaro Acosta, 16, were arrested and remanded to adult court, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office announced in a Facebook post.

“I want to thank our deputies and detectives for their hard work and determination in this case to get these suspects in custody so quickly,” Sheriff Mark Lamb in the post.

On Sept. 1 at 12:10 a.m., deputies were summoned to a home on North Baylor Way in Stanfield for a report of shots fired.

Isaac Rosales, 16, had been shot after a confrontation with an unknown suspect in front of the residence. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the sheriff’s office.
