More overnight lane restrictions on State Route 347 are imminent as crews complete “roadway improvements,” according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

ADOT will close lanes on SR 347 from West Edison Road past the northern city limit as crews stripe new lanes.

Northbound John Wayne Parkway will be reduced to one lane between Edison Road and north of city limits from 6 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

The left turn lane into the southern entrance of the Cobblestone Farms community will be closed. Drivers can turn left into the community at the northern entrance as that restriction will be lifted.

Southbound John Wayne Parkway will be reduced to one lane between Cobblestone Farms/Lakeview Drive and north of city limits from 6 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

ADOT is nearing completion of work to allow traffic to be shifted onto the new northbound lane between Smith-Enke Road and the northern city limit.

Once that shift happens, the northbound right lane will be closed just south of Smith-Enke Road, with two lanes of traffic remaining open, according to ADOT. This lane restriction is expected to be in place until summer.

This phase of the project includes:

  • Installation of a pedestrian island and new right turn and acceleration lane from westbound Lakeview Drive to SR 347.
  • Reconstructing northbound SR 347 shoulder and installing new curb and gutter.
  • Removing and replacing pavement on SR 347 and Lakeview Drive.

Motorists who plan to head to the Valley may be impacted by other overnight closures:

Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to three lanes between Broadway Road and 40th Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for work on the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project.

Southern Avenue will be closed in both directions between Priest Drive and 48th Street from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge work.
