The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions on State Route 347 as the John Wayne Parkway improvements project gets underway.
Northbound SR 347 will be reduced to one lane between Smith-Enke Rd to north of the city limits, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18 and Thursday, Oct. 19.
Following this restriction, traffic will be shifted to the shoulder to maintain two lanes of traffic during the project, as a new lane is added in the northbound direction.
ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
