Continued wet weather Thursday is expected to lead into a mild weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Today, a flood watch continues across the area as 50-percent chance of rain is predicted, with some storms producing heavy rains. Flash flooding will likely result in road closures and cause area washes to run heavily. Unprepared motorists could become trapped within fast-flowing washes.  The day will be partly sunny with a high near 87. The chance of rain will lessen to 30 percent overnight when the low temperature will be around 65.

Friday is forecast to be sunny with a high near 88. The overnight low will again be 65 under clear skies.

Saturday, the day is expected to warm up to 94 degrees with lots of sun and breezes of 5-15 mph. The overnight low will be around 66.

Sunday, the predicted high is near 91, with sunny skies and continued breezes. The nighttime low will be around 62.

The rest of the week looks to have clear skies and temps in the high 80s to low 90s.
