About the only thing softer than the inside of a BoSa Donut was the store’s Maricopa soft opening this morning.

The store in the Walmart shopping center off Porter Road served its first deep-fried ring of joy this morning and is expected to officially open Friday.

Hordes of new customers, some who learned about the new store’s doors opening via TikTok, lined up to try Maricopa’s donut holes, or to get their donut holes cream filled.

Maricopa Meadows resident Myesha Banks said BoSa’s soft opening “was advertised on TikTok,” which caught her attention.

Taylor Yon, who lives in Acacia Crossings, was one of about two dozen customers waiting in line mid-morning, some spilling out the front door onto the sidewalk.

“We actually just heard about it, that it was open,” said Yon. “We just came to check it out.”

Kaylyn Munns, who was visiting from the Valley, was there with her two children.

“We tried BoSa and we’re here to support Maricopa,” Munns said. “You gotta support local.”

Sadie Barnum, a Glennwilde resident, said she and her family were “super excited” to have a Bosa Donuts shop close to home.

She said she and her kids were canceling out an early morning workout with a few fauschnauts after the young ones saw the iconically Arizonan donut drive-thru was finally open.
