Construction begins on new church campus

Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) has officially broken ground on its Maricopa location. InMaricopa previous reported the church’s expansion project is taking place at the intersection of Honeycutt Road and North Porter Road.

Situated on a 10-acre site, the location offers ample opportunities for future development.
The new CCV Maricopa site will feature an auditorium with a seating capacity of approximately 680, dedicated spaces for children and youth, support offices, a kitchen with a coffee café, covered seating with an outdoor grill, grass play yards, a sport court, fenced sports fields, and generous parking to accommodate various events.

Christ’s Church of the Valley offers a special needs program during normal service hours. To address the parking demands resulting from multiple services held at 30-minute intervals. CCV provides more parking spaces than required by zoning. In addition, attendants will help manage traffic flow within the site to prevent congestion.

Founded in 1982, CCV has 11 campuses operating or in development.

In addition to its religious activities, Christ’s Church of the Valley offers recreational soccer and flag football through its CCV STARS program. STARS caters to children ages 4 to 14. These programs, take place for eight weeks in the spring and fall. Field lighting will be programmed to shut off at 10 p.m. on weekdays.

The construction project is expected to be completed in 2023.
