ORIGINAL STORY 9:25 a.m. April 25, 2025 Northbound lanes of State Route 347 are closed near Maricopa after a crash involving two commercial trucks caused injuries Friday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

At approximately 8:43 a.m., a box truck and a truck-tractor pulling two semi-trailers collided at the intersection of SR 347 and Riggs Road. The impact caused the box truck, which was loaded with pesticide, to roll over.

The closure begins at Casa Blanca Road. Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes. There is no estimated time for reopening.

The Gila River Fire and Police Departments are assisting the Arizona Department of Public Safety with the response. Officials say this will be an extended closure as crews work to remove the blocking vehicles and mitigate the pesticide spill.
