County clean-up targets Hidden Valley, Thunderbird Farms in March

[Pinal County]

If you live in Hidden Valley or Thunderbird Farms and have some junk you want to dispose of, this is the event for you.

Pinal County Supervisor Rich Vitiello (R-Maricopa) will hold a free residential and alley cleanup event for residents of those rural communities at 43910 W. Meadowview Road between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29.

“The county will have big dumpsters and crews,” Vitiello said, adding that people have already asked him if items like boats were acceptable. “If you can drag it there,” he said, the county will chuck it, with a few safety-related exceptions.

Some of the items not accepted during the event include batteries, oil, paint, anti-freeze, motor oil, gas, biohazards, herbicides, pesticides and commercial wastes.

Residents may be asked to show proof of residency with a utility bill, identification card or driver’s license.

Call Brandon Yeoman at 520-483-1418 with questions.
