UPDATE 3:30 p.m. Oct. 22, 2024 The crash scene is cleared at the intersection of SR 347 and I-10, the Arizona Department of Transportation confirmed.

ORIGINAL STORY 2:28 p.m. Oct. 22, 2024 Gila River Police Department is responding to a multi-vehicle crash that is “blocking the intersection” on State Route 347 southbound at Interstate 10, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Injuries or the extent of damage is unknown at this time. 

The crash was reported at about 1:30 p.m. today when a motorist sent InMaricopa a photo showing GRPD and a Gila River EMS ambulance at the scene. 

Bart Graves, spokesperson with Arizona Department of Public Safety, confirmed GRPD was on the scene. 

Impact on traffic is unknown.
