A crash on State Route 347 left two people injured and slowed southbound traffic even more this afternoon, blocking the left turn lane.

A spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Public Safety said one vehicle struck a light pole and the other rolled over. Two people were transported to a hospital for unknown injuries.

DPS and the Arizona Department of Transportation did not say how long traffic may be affected, but AZ511 showed traffic backed up past Maricopa Road.

In one traffic camera photo, two people were seen running across the state highway. However, DPS did not have information as to why.
