Drone tour shows progress of eastside construction projects

While many Maricopans see only the central part of the city, Maricopa is continuing its explosive growth where many might not regularly check, on its outer edges.

Development on the eastside, especially, is popping. Large expanses of homes are in various stages of progress, including many that are completed phases.

In drone views on Sept. 29, work can be seen at multiple planned developments, including Anderson Farms, Sorrento Phase 2, Rancho Mirage Estates Phase 2, The Trails at Tortosa and Tortosa South.

Roadways are visible, and walls are up at Anderson Farms, southeast of West Bowlin Road and North Hartman Road.

At Sorrento Phase 2, south of North Anthony Boulevard and West Bowlin Road, the drone view shows utility trenching underway.

During the drone tour you can see two rows of heavy machinery alongside construction workers discussing the job on the Rancho Mirage Estates Phase 2 site, southwest of West Honeycutt Road and North Hartman Road.

Work at the Trails at Tortosa, northwest of West Honeycutt Road and North Murphy Road, includes homes under construction on recently paved streets, as well as the community center that appears to have most of the exterior work completed.

Finally, at Tortosa South, northwest of West Bowlin Road and North Murphy Road, construction of homes is well underway.
