Father, son arrested for throwing beer cans in separate incidents

Maricopa police arrested a father and son accused of throwing beer cans at their family home in separate incidents over the weekend.

Cops first arrested 58-year-old Kevin Stricklett on two domestic violence charges of assault and disorderly conduct, according to a probable-cause statement obtained by InMaricopa

Police responded to the home on West Maricopa Avenue in Senita just after 3 p.m. Saturday.

The daughter said Stricklett was drunk and mad at her dogs when he threw a full beer can at her head before booking it in his car.

Police found Stricklett and arrested him. While transporting him to the Maricopa police station, he reportedly taunted them, saying the case would go nowhere and his daughter would never take him to court. He promised he would be out of jail and back at work on Monday.

Stricklett was booked into the Pinal County jail where he faces a year behind bars.

MPD responded to the same Senita home the next day around 10 a.m. and arrested 21-year-old Kristopher Stricklett on one domestic violence charge of disorderly conduct after he, too, reportedly threw a can of beer.

The sister told police she accidentally knocked over Kristopher’s beer can while she was putting away groceries.

Kristopher reportedly started fighting with the family, pushing his brother and then retreating into the garage. He then came back inside as the family was cleaning the beer spill and threw the beer can, “causing fluid to spill all over the counter.”

The sister provided video footage that corroborated her story.

Kristopher was booked into the Pinal County jail where he faces six months behind bars.
