Saturday was a day for Maricopa artists to share their passion with others. Art for the Heart was held at the Copper Sky Lake. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. artists and art lovers talked and enjoyed their day, all for a good cause.

About Art for the Heart

Maricopa High Schools Graphic Art and Design Program created Art for the Heart in the spring of 2018 to honor artists in the community. The first annual Art for the Heart was held in 2019, the second in 2020. When 2021 came around, the event went virtual.

The organizations mission is to bring people together to revel in the culture of art and the merit of self-made works, while helping those in need by donating their profits to the American Heart Association, to help find a solution to heart disease.

This year’s event

Many artists within the community got together for the cause. From resin to wood, or oil to paint, artists showcased and sold it all.
