Glennwilde man accused of molesting child in pool

A 43-year-old Glennwilde man is accused of molesting a child in a swimming pool on North Comet Trail, according to the Maricopa Police Department.

“I have probable cause to charge Steven Galeana with … molestation of a child,” a police officer shared in a probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa yesterday.

Galeana is being held today in the Pinal County jail on a $50,000 bond. A June 25 preliminary hearing was set in Pinal County Superior Court.

The police report states Galeana “knowingly engaged in sexual contact while in a swimming pool.”

He is alleged to have written a text message to the young victim: “If u want to do wat I said.”

“While in the pool, Steven moved the swimsuit bottom to the side and penetrated her vagina with his finger,” the report states.

The girl and another witness after the incident provided a parent with an audio recording of Galeana allegedly “hinting about explicit things” and wanting to get the girl away from other people.

“Steven says once he talks to her alone, they can all smoke together,” the police report states.
