Anything else we should know? I was born and raised in Wisconsin, which will always be “home” in my heart. I moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, in 2005 and lived there for almost 10 years. I met my husband (who is from Ohio) in Indy. We bought our first house, got married, and our first son Jack was born there. I worked many years managing shoes stores. We moved to Arizona because my husband’s job shut down the office in Indy, but offered him a transfer here. So in January 2014 we packed up our life and took a chance to move across the country! It was a HUGE change for us, but a good one. I became a stay-at-home mom when we moved here. I enjoyed all the time I got to spend with Jack, and eventually Oliver as well. Now my parents and in-laws have retired to Maricopa. And recently one of my sisters moved to the area as well. I started working for InMaricopa in November 2019. It was an adjustment to go back to work, but I enjoy my job and it came about at the right time for us. I am so happy we picked Maricopa as our new city. It’s been great getting back to a smaller town like I grew up in.
