Kevon Lambert, a defender and midfielder for Phoenix Rising FC in the USL Championship soccer league, stopped by a Maricopa supermarket Thursday to visit with fans.
Lambert, who plays for the Jamaican National Team as well, made an appearance at Bashas’ to meet fans and sign jerseys and other gear as part of a promotion for Body Armor sports drink, a Coca-Cola beverage brand.
He has played for five seasons with the Rising, who return to Wild Horse Pass on Saturday to host Orange County SC for Football and Fireworks at 7:30 p.m.
The Maricopa store was selected from 56 Arizona locations for the player appearance event.
