Here’s another reason to keep your eyes on the sky tonight.
Luke Air Force Base will be conducting a Freedom 250 flyover across parts of central Arizona in honor of Independence Day and the country’s semiquincentennial, according to the base. Maricopa is one of 14 municipalities that will see the group of jets fly high tonight.
The flyover begins in the West Valley at 6:05 p.m., heads east to Mesa then south to Pinal County before flying to Yavapai and Gila Counties, then back to base.
The jets are expected to pass over Maricopa between 6:30 and 6:40 p.m.

Where are the jets
The 4 Luke A.F.Base jets flew over our house tonight at 6:15. My son Msg me, the 4 went over his roof in Payson area 1 hour later. Felt so special for America’s 250 Birthday.
Sucked for those of us who went outside at 6:25 thinking we’d be 5 minutes early only to find out we were 10 minutes too late and the jets were already long gone.
