The roster of tenants at Sonoran Creek Marketplace is filling out with the addition of a major retailer and other businesses.

Taking the 21,950 square-foot space just south of the Sprouts Farmers Market grocery will be Marshalls, the off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions, according to the marketing web site of Thompson Thrift, developer of the shopping center.

Other businesses signing leases are Thai Chili 2 Go, a quick-growing, fast-casual Thai food chain in Arizona, and ATI Physical Therapy, a research-based physical therapy provider with offices throughout the Valley.

Those additions raise to 14 the number of known tenants in the center, which is rising on 19 acres at the southwest corner of John Wayne Parkway and Edison Road. A few more spaces apparently remain available.

Andrew Call, vice president of development management for the Southwest region of Thompson Thrift, said in April that construction of the center was on target for completion in the third quarter of this year, with some tenants likely opening early in the fourth quarter.

Sprouts has set an Aug. 25 opening.

Sonoran Creek will bring 82,000 square feet of new retail space, 282 new jobs generating $10.4 million in annual wages, and a total economic output of more than $25.6 million annually, according to city estimates.
