Man fatally shot at Rancho El Dorado home

A man was shot and killed Sunday evening inside a home in the 21000 block of West Duncan Drive in Rancho El Dorado, Maricopa police confirmed Monday morning.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at about 7:45 p.m. and upon arrival found the man with a single gunshot. He was taken to a hospital where he later died, police said.

Officers took another man at the house into custody in connection with the incident.

Maricopa Police have not released the name of the man who was killed, nor the name of the person taken into custody, nor any charges.

Police were seen at the Rancho El Dorado home, continuing their investigation at 10 a.m., Monday morning.

The incident remains under investigation, police said.
