Public Notice Announcing Scoping Meeting
Maricopa-Stanfield Irrigation and Drainage District
Public Law 83-566 Project
The United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Arizona is considering funding for a Maricopa-Stanfield Irrigation and Drainage District (MSIDD) project. The purpose of the project is to increase irrigation water supply for farms located within the MSIDD service area. MSIDD is the project sponsor and NRCS is the lead federal agency. Improvements under consideration may be partially funded through the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act of 1954 (Public Law 83-566).
The proposed project would be in Pinal County, Arizona. The National Environmental Policy Act regulations require an evaluation of potential environmental impacts associated with federal projects and actions with input from the public.
