It looks like Maricopa Taco Bell fans are safe from losing their Breakfast California Crunchwrap.
For the first time, the Bell’s corporate honchos are giving franchisees the chance to opt out of serving breakfast.
That won’t happen in Maricopa, say managers at both shops.
“We still have breakfast,” said Taco Bell Manager Gabriel Cantoran. “As much as I know we’re still going to continue breakfasts.”
An assistant manager at the newest Taco Bell on West Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway also confirmed breakfast burritos are still a go.
“We cut breakfast off at 11 a.m., but we’re not going to discontinue it,” he said.
The big news is the company said it’s also boosting coffee options and testing new breakfast items.
It’s the first time the chain has given its franchisees the option to cut menu items.
Taco Bell first started serving breakfast in 2014, and it contributed to a long run of same-store pre-pandemic sales growth for the brand. In 2023, Yum expanded Taco Bell’s hours and saw growth in breakfast sales, the company said.
