No one was injured in a “minor” bus crash Monday morning.

At about 7:15 a.m., Maricopa police and fire crews responded to Maricopa Groves Parkway and North Meghan Street in Senita on a report of a collision.

“It was minor,” Maricopa Police Department Cpl. Julio Collazo told InMaricopa on the scene.

The Kyrene School District’s school bus was stopped for kids, and the driver of the sedan reportedly took their foot off the brake, Collazo said.

“The bus was stopped, that vehicle was stopped,” Collazo said. The driver of the sedans “foot came off the brake” and the sedan “slow rolled” into the back of the bus.

“There were no injuries,” said city spokesperson Monica Williams. “The crash remains under investigation.”
