A suspected DUI driver was arrested Thanksgiving night after crashing into a parked vehicle in the Maricopa Meadows neighborhood, police said.

The collision happened shortly before 9 p.m. near Amsterdam and Winston Roads. According to Monica Williams, spokesperson for the city’s police and fire departments, an individual left a nearby home, struck a parked vehicle and pushed it into a neighboring driveway.

Williams said the driver continued around the corner, where they encountered officers and were taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and property damage.

No injuries were immediately reported.
