Maricopa’s newest restaurant opens Wednesday with MOD Pizza joining the city’s dining lineup.

The store is located in the Sonoran Creek Marketplace at 20320 N John Wayne Parkway, Suite 100, facing onto John Wayne Parkway. It has been in a soft opening period, which continues through the end of Tuesday, then will officially open Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Store hours are 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

MOD Pizza is a fast-casual concept specializing in artisan-style pizzas and salads made on demand with whatever toppings the guest wants, right in front of them. Pricing is based on the size of the crust or salad, and both offer unlimited toppings.

The company boasts 542 stores in 29 states including 28 in Arizona.

MOD aims to be more than just another restaurant in the city, according to District Manager Jenny Williams.

“More than making pizzas, we’re a people place,” she said. “We want to be sure people have a place to treat each other well and have a good time.”
