Republican Glenn Morrison has pulled out of the race for Justice of the Peace in Maricopa.

Morrison, who now serves as the Maricopa-area District 4 constable, announced his decision Monday.

“This decision has been made in the best interests of my family and myself,” Morrison said. “I will continue to serve as constable. Luckily, we have a solid strong candidate in Patricia Glover and I will support her 100% as she pursues this role. Should she be successful in her candidacy, I look forward to working with her.”

Glover, a Republican, has been in the legal field for 18 years, starting as a paralegal. She’s the founding owner of her own business, Glover Court Solutions & Estate Planning. She said it is the only such licensed company in Maricopa.

Her business assists people who can’t afford an attorney.

She lives with her family in The Villages at Rancho El Dorado.

Pinal County Board of Supervisors accepted the Jan. 2 resignation of Justice Lyle Riggs, who left office after serving two years of his term in Maricopa’s justice court. He served as justice of the peace since 2014.
