A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Honeycutt Road Saturday night.

Maricopa police responded to a car versus motorcycle crash at West Honeycutt Road and Continental Avenue, just west of North White and Parker Road, just after 9:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist in the roadway, according to a police statement. He died on the scene from his injuries.

Maricopa police are withholding the name of the deceased at this time to allow for appropriate family notifications.

Honeycutt Road between White and Parker Road and Porter Road is expected to be closed for several hours.

Due to the nature of the collision, Pinal County Sheriff’s Office’s Vehicular Crimes Unit was asked to assist in the investigation, which is ongoing.
