Multiple crashes closes I-10 westbound

Three crashes on Interstate 10 impacted Maricopa drivers today, including one that closed westbound traffic entirely. 

A crash occurred around noon on westbound I-10 near mile post 178, resulting in westbound lanes closing, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. There is no estimated reopening time. 

The number of vehicles involved and any injuries are unknown, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.  

At 12:20 p.m., another crash occurred on both eastbound I-10, just south of Casa Blanca Road. Injuries and the number of vehicles involved are unknown, according to DPS. 

At 11:35 a.m., a two-vehicle collision on westbound I-10 near West Sundust Road resulted in injuries, according to DPS. The department did not provide information on the extent of injuries.
