Orbitel Communications experiences temporary outage

Orbitel Communications is currently experiencing an outage in the areas of Maricopa, Sun Lakes, and SunBird. The outage occurred shortly after 10:15 Friday morning.

According to the company’s Facebook, website and telephone recordings, a major network fiber line was cut affecting both Internet and telephone services in some areas.

Repair crews are onsite to repair the fiber, but this process normally takes between 6-8 hours, according to Orbitel.
