Live, work, worship or attend school. Those are the criteria for membership at Maricopa’s newest financial institution, Pinal County Federal Credit Union, opening Feb. 8.

“Maricopa is a great community with more than 500 of our members already residing there,” said Vince McKee. “We felt like it was time to open a location in the city to serve those members and others that would like to join.”

Over the past several months, the credit union has prepared for the store’s opening; constructing a drive-through teller and hiring five employees to work the location.

“Three of the employees will start out as part time, but as we grow they will become full time, and we will add additional jobs,” McKee said.

The location is the sixth in Pinal County for the credit union, which serves nearly 17,000 customers. Other locations include Casa Grande, Florence, San Tan Valley, Apache Junction and Coolidge.

The credit union, which first opened in 1954, offers all of the services of a standard bank, including personal checking and savings, auto and home financing, commercial financing and financial planning.

“We are excited to serve the community of Maricopa,” McKee said.
