The Pinal County Board of Supervisors will hear a presentation at its Tuesday meeting regarding the proposed new voter precincts. The new districts will be in place for the upcoming 10 years.

After each census, the county is required to revise its supervisor districts to ensure the population of each of the five districts remains “substantially equal.” As part of this redistricting process, voter precincts and justice precincts also are updated.

The proposed new voter precincts will be presented to the Board of Supervisors at its meeting on Feb. 2 in Florence for review and approval.

Community meetings will be held throughout February in each supervisor’s district in order for the public to give its input on supervisor districts and justice precincts. There will be an open house on the subject in Maricopa on Monday, Feb. 7, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Pinal County Complex, 19955 N. Wilson Ave., Suite 100.
