Light rain and possibly thunderstorms are expected to enter this week’s forecast as daily high temperatures are expected to fall.

Today will be sunny with a high near 69 and calm winds becoming east around 5 mph. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 44. A north wind around 5 mph will become south southwest after midnight.

Christmas Day, there is a slight chance of showers and then a chance of thunderstorms after 11 a.m. with increasing clouds and a high near 64. Wind gusts as high as 20 mph are expected. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Tuesday night a chance of showers and thunderstorms are expected before 11 p.m. then a slight chance of showers the rest of the night and a low around 41. Chance of precipitation overnight is 40 percent.

Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 58 and west wind 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 37. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday the forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 58. There is a 20-percent chance of showers overnight, with partly cloudy skies and a low around 35.

Friday, there is a 10-percent chance of showers before 11 a.m. The rest of the day is expected to be sunny with a high near 54. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 32. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

The weekend, from this vantage point, is expected to be sunny but cold.
