Rapper disturbs neighbors by spitting bars in a park

Maricopa police arrested Adrian Mitchell, 29, Wednesday night for rapping in a park.

Residents in Acacia Crossings called the cops at 8:41p.m., complaining of someone “yelling on a microphone,” according to a probable cause statement. It was loud enough to wake up sleeping kids.

When officers arrived at Portabello Road and Costa Brava Avenue, they found Mitchell “hiding behind a tree, rapping on a megaphone.”

It wasn’t clear if the song was an original freestyle or a cover.

Mitchell tried walking away from police during their investigation and was quickly arrested. He was charged with failure to identify, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors.

Mitchell should be well known to Maricopa officers. According to court records, he’s been arrested ten times since 2013. He’s been convicted of burglary, drug possession and assault, among others.

This is the second rapper arrested in the past week. Starlex Dorsley was arrested last week for stalking and assaulting a teen girl at Maricopa High School.
