As the Sonoran Desert Parkway project progresses, there are some required road closures in order for construction to continue. Farrell Road between North Pepper Place and Porter Road as well as a section of Porter Road between Santa Rosa Drive and just south of Farrell Road will be closed starting on August 22 and will remain closed until the summer of 2023.
When it reopens, this stretch will be the first leg of the Sonoran Desert Parkway which is slated to connect to the I-10 freeway once fully completed.
A route will be opened for emergency services so they can continue during this closure.
