Rollover crash blocks southbound lanes on JWP

A rollover crash at the intersection of John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Avenue left two people injured this morning.

At approximately 10:40 a.m., a vehicle traveling southbound on John Wayne Parkway collided with another attempting to turn north onto the road from Honeycutt Avenue, according to police spokesperson Monica Williams. The collision led to the southbound vehicle to roll over, causing southbound lanes to close temporarily.

“No serious physical injuries occurred, but both drivers were transported as a precaution to a Valley hospital,” Williams said. “There were no signs of impairment.”

Southbound lanes re-opened at approximately 11:50 a.m.
