A two-car crash this afternoon left one car overturned at the intersection of Porter and Smith-Enke Roads.

Only minor injuries — mostly bumps and bruises — were reported after a silver Ford SUV rolled over, spilling its shattered windows into the southeast corner of the intersection.

Eastbound traffic on Smith-Enke was being diverted south onto Porter Road at 2:30 p.m., while some drivers were detouring through Desert Greens Drive. Northbound traffic on Porter was stopped at Novak Lane, where drivers were being allowed to make U-turns.

Police said the intersection would reopen once a tow truck cleared the scene. Reporters observed the tow truck arriving at 2:45 p.m.

The roads remained closed at 3 p.m.
