Chicken and waffles. Buffalo mac. And that famous toast and sauce. It’s all just three weeks away at Slim Chickens. 

The fast-food fried chicken restaurant, originally slated to open this month, told InMaricopa today it will open its Maricopa location Monday, Nov. 6.  

Construction began in June on the 4,000-square-foot restaurant with a twin-lane drive-thru seating up to 100 diners. 

AZ Slims Operations Manager Colin Clingan said the company based in Fayetteville, Ark., is thrilled to enter the city. 

“We couldn’t be more excited as we anticipate our introduction of Slim Chickens to Maricopa to be a very busy, positive, high-energy occasion,” Clingan said.  

He added while the restaurant has completed its hiring process, it will continue to accept applications.  

“We are always looking for talent,” Clingan said.
