If you like your chicken how you like your waffles, it’s Slim.

That’s what InMaricopa readers said in last week’s poll asking them to scratch their votes on our dot-com.

The poll was a shake of the tail feathers and a head bob to National Chicken and Waffles Day last weekend.

Indeed, the only comment on Facebook about the poll was “Slims,” from reader Cory McEachern. We guess chicken and waffles is more likely to bring chicken hearts together rather than prompt you to give someone the bird.

While Slim Chickens prompted readers to peck out 63 votes, Roots Eatery came in second with 50 votes.

Then came IHOP with 25 voters loving their chicken and waffles.

Auntie’s Soul Food & Grill managed to cluck out 21 votes and Sunday’s South Food & Catering, 4, on the low end of the pecking order.
