The Arizona Department of Transportation announced today partial lane closures on State Route 238 this week for maintenance work. The first restrictions will begin tomorrow.
From 8 p.m. tomorrow until 4 a.m. Thursday, crews will narrow the highway to one lane at milepost 24, about seven miles west of Mobile. The roadway will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating east- and westbound travel.
The second round of closures on SR 238 will take place at 99th Avenue in Mobile. Again, the road will narrow to one lane with east- and westbound traffic alternating travel from 8 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday.
ADOT advises drivers to use caution when traveling through work zones and be prepared to slow down and merge safely.
