Casa Grande police officers, a SWAT team and a crime scene unit are in Maricopa, surrounding a home in the Desert Cedars neighborhood.
There’s been heavy police response at the home on the corner of Greythorn Drive and Yucca Lane since about 2:45 p.m.
Pinal County Regional SWAT is assisting Casa Grande Police Department in executing a search warrant, said Pinal County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sam Salzwedel.
Maricopa Police Department is not involved in the operation, but was made aware by CGPD, according to the MPD spokesperson, Monica Williams.
Several neighbors alerted InMaricopa to the police activity. Witnesses and reporters on the scene described agents wearing Kevlar helmets carrying evidence boxes into the house.
