Two teenage males shot Monday night

Two male teenagers sustained gunshot wounds during what police are describing as an apparent drive-by shooting on Monday night at the 45000 block of W. Ed Green Lane in Maricopa.

Sgt. Hal Koozer, a spokesman with the Maricopa Police Department, confirmed that upon arrival at the scene, officers found the two victims, who were both taken to Valley area hospitals.

Koozer said that the department started receiving calls about the shooting at 8:13 p.m.

The suspect and vehicle are unknown at this time. Officers are still in the preliminary portion of their investigation.
