A fire that torched the top of a home Monday night is still under investigation, according to a city official.

At about 11:30 p.m., July 3, a two-story home on the 43000 block of West Cydnee Drive caught fire. A Maricopan livestreamed the scene as firefighters sprayed the home with water. Fire could be seen on the roof and through the second floor’s windows.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the city spokesperson Brandon LaVorgna.

LaVorgna said there were no reported injuries.

Fire departments from Chandler, Mesa, Phoenix, Tempe and Sun Lakes joined Maricopa Fire and Medical Department and Maricopa Police Department in responding to the blaze, Lavorgna said.

By 7 a.m. today a fence surrounded the home and windows were boarded up. An aerial view of the home shows extensive damage to the roof.
