WATCH: Vitamin aisle piddler’s pecker peeks out during arrest

Maricopa Police Department released surveillance and body camera footage this week of a crime that made InMaricopa’s list of the top 15 bizarre and unusual crimes last year

The footage shows the Dec. 15 arrest of Joseph Chee at Sprouts Farmers Market, 20300 N. John Wayne Parkway. Employees accused the 24-year-old of eating a chicken he did not pay for.

The responding officer tells Chee that he “smells like chicken” and asks employees to search the store for the man’s stolen dinner. The officer then realizes Chee’s penis is hanging out of his pants.

Chee, who had a can of beer in his pocket, was detained and employees found a partially eaten chicken and a puddle of urine in the store’s vitamin aisle.

Ruben Mora, a clerk in the meat department, told police he saw Chee grab the can of beer and put it in his pocket and urinate in the vitamin aisle. Surveillance camera footage placed Chee near the piddle puddle.

The case has not yet been adjudicated, according to court records. Chee has a history of assault, trespassing, liquor violations, underage drinking and indecent exposure in Phoenix, Mesa, Glendale and Maricopa.
