If you’re going out on New Year’s Eve you might want to take your rain gear as light showers are expected, according to the National Weather Service. Wednesday will remain cold but temps start picking up on Thursday and Friday with 50s and 60s expected. Enjoy 2019!

Today, showers likely after 11 a.m. Increasing clouds with a high near 55 and winds of 10 to 15 mph are predicted. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible. Monday night expect a 50 percent chance of showers. The night will be mostly cloudy then gradually becoming mostly clear with a low around 32 and west wind 5 to 10 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

New Year’s Day is expected to be sunny with a high near 48 and northwest winds around 5 mph. Tuesday night will be mostly clear with a low around 27. North northwest wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday also has a sunny forecast with a high near 47. The overnight low will be around 26.

Thursday is likely to be sunny with a high near 56 and east northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Thursday night should be mostly clear with a low around 29.

Friday’s forecast is for sunny skies with a high near 62 and east wind around 5 mph. Friday night, expect partly cloudy skies with a low around 36.
