Construction progress slowly churned ahead at Cold Stone Creamery Friday.
A crew completed electrical work on the small shopping centerat Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and Porter Road. The building will also include BoSa Donuts and Banner Physical Therapy.
A peek inside showed insulation and drywall but little other interior progress. Most exterior work appeared to be finished in September.
A video from city development services published Oct. 19 stated the Scottsdale-based ice cream shop’s building permit was under review. The city did not reply to a request for the permit’s approval status.
Kahala Brands Vice President of Public Relations Jessica Benedick said the business does not have a projected opening date.
According to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory website, the Colorado-based chocolatier will share a space with Cold Stone when it opens soon.
The two franchises share space elsewhere in the Valley.
