Woman, 81, accused of assaulting husband

An elderly woman is accused of assaulting her husband and smashing a couple of TVs, according to the Maricopa Police Department. 

Police arrested 81-year-old Mary Jane Ronca Aug. 23 after they say she beat her husband, according to a probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa 

It was about 5:45 p.m. when cops were dispatched to a domestic dispute at a home on North Lemon Drop Drive in the Province community. 

Ronca’s husband told cops his wife flipped a TV and broke other items in the house. He said Ronca hit and scratched him. Police noted injuries on his arm.  

Ronca admitted to cops she destroyed items in the home during a verbal argument. 

Officers noted several broken items scattered across the floor including two TVs. 

Ronca was arrested and booked into Pinal County jail on charges of domestic violence assault and disorderly conduct. She faces two and a half years behind bars.

  1. Correct me if I am wrong. They said the husband had some scratches on him? Look at the mess on her face. I do not believe the husband was innocent of any wrong doing. Just my opinion by looking at the photo.
