Get ready to play ball.

Crews with Phoenix-based Haydon Building Corp. were spotted Wednesday afternoon continuing work on Lake View Park — which looks like it’s nearing completion.

Announced in August 2022, the park features two lighted Little League baseball fields, a plaza, playgrounds, picnic tables, and a building with restrooms and a concession stand.

On top of that building sits a spectators’ booth for the ballfields.

The city could not provide an estimated opening date for the park.

“We anticipate being able to provide more information on the park’s grand opening in the weeks ahead,” said city spokesperson Monica Williams. “The contractor is diligently finalizing the remaining elements before turning the park back over to the city. “
