Two months after his 21st birthday, a Maricopa man was arrested for the 15th time since starting a crime spree in late 2022, this time on charges of aggravated domestic violence and disorderly conduct.

Cops arrested Mannix Duncan Jr. Monday on those charges, three probation violation warrants and a bench warrant, according to a probable cause statement. He sits in jail on a $25,000 bond.

Officers responded to a home on West Posada Drive in Santa Rosa Springs just after 4:30 a.m. on a report of Duncan choking his girlfriend.

Duncan was immediately handcuffed because police knew he had warrants out of Maricopa and Casa Grande courts, according to the police report.

He admitted to police he pushed his girlfriend and grabbed her so she couldn’t leave. Police said he “applied pressure” to the top of his girlfriend’s chest in response to her throwing items at him.

The girlfriend told police Duncan pushed, grabbed and choked her. Police noted she did not have any injuries and refused medical attention.

Duncan was booked into the Pinal County jail on aggravated domestic violence charges due to more than three violations in seven years, police said.

InMaricopa reported on the first such arrest last January, when he faced similar charges after he was accused of stealing a woman’s gun and choking her in the same home. He pleaded guilty to felony robbery in that case.

Duncan was also arrested in July for criminal damage and domestic violence, and again later that month on counts of aggravated harassment, threatening, criminal damage and four counts of disorderly conduct, according to the police report.

In total, he has racked up 29 criminal charges during his short time as an adult. Of those charges, Duncan has pleaded guilty to robbery and aggravated harassment, and twice each he pleaded guilty to fighting and contempt of court.
